What's new in Finance Co-ordinator version 2?
|
New transaction assistants |
Income accrual assistant
Loan assistant - receiving and repaying loans
Debtors and Creditors assistant - recording and repaying
Fund
transfers between fixed assets
Fund transfers between liability codes
|
|
Preferred options |
A new option to set a 'preferred fund' for nominal codes.
When creating a new transaction it will default to the 'preferred
fund' but, of course, you can still change it if required.
A
palette of 7 pastel background colours has been developed
and used throughout Finance Co-ordinator to make forms easier
to read, and draw attention to tabbed pages and particular
facilities. All the colours can be customised or they can
be turned off if you prefer the standard grey backgrounds.
|
| New
and improved reports |
Financial statements automatically
exported to a paginated Word document.
Printing reports - you can now specify which pages to print,
how many copies, and which printer to use, all from one
selection form when you click on Print. You no longer have
to remember to select your printer before you click the
Print button.
Print Preview option has been improved with clearer text
and additional zoom options.
You can now run a budget report for 2011 before 2010 has
been closed.
New - a % variance figure has been added to the detailed
budget throughput report.
A new trial balance report for each fund is available.
A new report to list the details of each input and output
for the individual nominal codes, the opening balance carried
forward from last year and the closing balance to date.
Two new options on the reports menu for Grantors and Suppliers.
Bank reconciliation report now includes the cheque number
of each unreconciled item.
The ability to customise particular
reports (especially transaction reports), and save them
for future use, rather like memorised transactions.
New monthly income/exp report for a specific fund.
A new report that gives the month, year to date, full budget
for the year and last years full year comparison.
Return of Parish Finance - You can now add entry boxes for
the questions to be printed on the report.
|
| Journal
entries |
You can edit journal entries and Finance Co-ordinator will
still maintain a full audit trail.
A new automatic reversing journal facility is included which
is particularly useful for period end accruals and pre-payments.
|
|
Cost centres |
Budgets for cost centres - uses budgets set on the relevant
income or expenditure codes.
Ability to limit the cost centre reports by different funds.
Summary cost centre reports - totalling on each level rather
than seeing the individual nominal codes.
|
| Export
option |
Additional Export options have been provided. In addition
to exporting to Word as a 'free-flow' document you can now
export reports as a Word document with text boxes, normally
giving a more accurate representation of the report.
Also included is an Export to Excel as a formatted report
so that you can edit and print the report from within Excel.
Export options are also available for Open Office, both
as a document and as a spreadsheet, and also the international
RTF format.
|
| Other
new facilities |
Template transaction, which allows you to create transactions
with a zero balance. ü Ability to automatically reverse
a transaction whilst still maintaining a full audit trail.
Ability to allocate to different funds when disposing of
a fixed asset.
Ability to sell part of a Fixed Asset - eg if some shares
are sold but not all of them.
When entering an expense against a fund, you can view the
current balance for the relevant fund as soon as the fund
is selected.
When processing standing orders you are now able to select
a particular bank account so that only those standing orders
that are waiting to be posted to that particular bank account
show.
Bank reconciliation: you are able to list unreconciled transactions
in cheque no. order.
Bank reconciliation: the money in and money out columns
are now in the same order as bank statements.
