England and Wales. Their aim is to provide the best possible
regulation of charities in England and Wales in order
to increase charities' effectiveness and public confidence

Christian Aid is the official development
agency of churches in the UK and Ireland. It works wherever
the need is greatest, irrespective of religion. Christian
Aid supports local organisations, which are viewed as best
placed to understand local needs, as well as giving help

The Christian Resources Exhibition
(CRE) provides an opportunity for companies and charities,
which supply educational, practical or caring resources
to churches, charities and individual Christians to show
and sell their goods and services. The CRE takes place annually
in May at Sandown Park Exhibition Centre, Esher, Surrey
and in the autumn on a tri-annual basis between Manchester,
Glasgow and Birmingham.

theology, as well as providing the principal retail outlet
for material issued by Church House Publishing - the official
publishers to the Church of England. Compact discs, greetings

The Church Pastoral Aid Society (CPAS)
is committed to inspiring, encouraging and challenging local
churches to become places where children, young people and
adults are helped to come to faith in Christ.

1990 the original Gift aid scheme was introduced. This was
later updated in April 2000. The scheme allows charities
to claim tax back from donations made to them. Their website
includes the criteria required, guidance and help on Gift
Aid and other items that may be relevant to charities.

Finance Co-ordinator has been designed to handle
the accounts of churches and charities as required
by the Charities Act. It records designated, unrestricted,
restricted and endowment funds with full reporting,
budgets, account analysis, prepayments and accruals
and will print a SOFA.
Gift
aid
Donations Co-ordinator will manage donations,
taxable or not with ease. It produces the necessary
R68 schedules, approved by the Inland Revenue.
Donations Co-ordinator also provides full audit
trailing, retrospective claims, statistical analysis,
Gift Aid declarations, email facilities, various
reports and labels.
